An entry for BGDJam 2022, a 72 hours game jam hosted by Binus Game Development Club, with the theme of "choose a path"
A small turn-based game about an orange cat that got stranded on a remote island.
Fight the island's inhabitants, eat fish, survive, find the boat, and get back home.
Controls:
D-pad: move & battle
Z: confirm
X: guide & cancel quit
ESC: quit to title

the game is really fun! although there's a few things I would like it to be improved (if someday you'll make this into a full game)
> game too easy, maybe add a variation of enemy that change their move at the last second? or an enemy that could swap your moves with theirs?
> in the node map, could you show/tease player with what's inside of some of the nodes? maybe color a node red for really huge danger, or a heart to show healing items. this way players will sort of finding other paths rather than going for the most efficient way.

cute and simple game! i love the combat system and the visuals, really easy to understand
though i feel that the combat is a little too easy since i can see what my opponents moves are and i can react accordingly in the span of 3 seconds
great work though, this looks really good
